My parents have been married for 36 years today and just this morning I learned that they've known eachother since the fall of 1968. Wedding traditions in Germany are quite different from here, so the eve before the wedding was the Polterabend. It's admirable how they've made it through tough times and still stuck together. It made me re-evaluate what I find would be most important to have in a relationship. Here's my hit list:- Open communication

- Loyalty
- Committment
- Common core values
