8:14am - Just spoke to my mom.  The gynecological oncologist was there and said stage IV ovarian cancer.  They're letting her go home for the weekend to spend time with family, then back to the hospital Sunday night or Monday morning.  Chemo will be weekly sessions starting next week.

I have to stay strong!

7:45pm - Back from the hospital.  The oncologist called me this morning.  My mom has three months to a year.  I couldn't get myself to give my mom the news.  The oncologist stopped by late afternoon when my dad was there as well.  My mom cried.  She doesn't want to leave us.  My dad's pupils enlarged and his entire body became stiff due to the shock.  They ended up calling a code blue (resuscitation when a patient stops breathing).  Not feeling good about this.  M. just came by and brought dinner.  I need to eat.  We're trying to find enough oxygen so that my mom could go to Canmore for a couple of days over the weekend and be at home.  She's been in a lot of pain today, so they gave her painkillers for the night.
