I needed a day like this for so long. It was true mountain therapy and at the end of the day I was tired - a good tired! - and feeling incredibly fulfilled! It was 15.4km of exploring, cooking in the snow, enjoying the sun (and warmth), then bushwhacking through deep, deep powder, the last half hour or so of which was in the dark. Throw in a clear sky and the stars - Pleiades and all - this after already being rewarded with alpenglow in the morning, and I couldn't have asked for more. So, so happy!
