Cowboy Trail

Do you ever feel like you need to get away from it all, but don't want to go very far?  I think I just came across such a little opportunity, thanks to a link posted from Kananaskis Blog.  Diamond Valley's Open Roads is a new website that focuses on the Diamond Valley area; namely, the area centered around Black Diamond and Turner Valley.  Currently there is a half weekend photography retreat listed for March.  That would make for a nice treat.  That website, in turn, links to Cool Little Towns - Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Longview, High River, and Nanton.  It might be time to scope that area out a bit more again, especially as it also offers better early season hiking.  The Idle Spurs B&B looks inviting.
