5-Hour Road Trip

I had planned on going for a drive to Lake Louise yesterday to check out the ice sculptures that I'd never seen.  The road condition was listed as poor and it was already afternoon, so I figured I'll put it off for a day.  The weather couldn't get much worse, and I'm sure glad I waited.  These are the views from today.  I especially love the gold-n-blue look in the first one.

On the way back I stopped at Johnston Canyon where I walked to the Lower Falls.  I saw some tourists approaching me on the catwalk, they didn't get that it's polite to walk to one side, so shoved around with their big down jackets as they passed me and I ended up slipping.  Thankfully I grabbed myself on the railing and a slightly sprained finger is all I've got.

Going to have a glass of wine now and read in front of the fire.  This cold weather and snow is perfect for a night of r-n-r.

All that snow makes the area look that much more beautiful! I like the 3rd photo, the entrance to Deer Lodge.
