I don't remember how old I was, but as a kid we took a day trip once on a bus to the Christmas market in Nuremberg. It was full of traditional wooden huts selling stuff, and I'm sure there was plenty of hot wine and sausages (I was into the gingerbread). I don't know what time of day it was or if it might have been the last day of the market, but I remember walking up on this wooden stage and dancing around - in front of that church pictured below and with light snow falling.
