Junction Creek

After a long week I needed a long day out. Almost a couple of years ago I had attempted to get to Junction Lake, but we were turned back by the waist-deep water at the Sheep River.  This time the usual crossing spot was still flowing too high, but we managed to get across in calf-deep water 1.3km downstream.  Much to my surprise we didn't have to contend with snow - no postholing and we made it much further than I had expected.  What a great day - I love coming home late on summer Saturdays.
